Principal Data Architect Principal Data Architect is responsible to define and lead the Data Architecture, Data Quality, Data Governance at Reformation, for entirety of Customer, Product and Supply chain data in support of ingesting, processing, storing and enabling effective information utilization. This hands-on role helps solve real data problems, which most of the standard tools on the market are not capable of handling. You will be designing solutions, writing code and automation, defining standards, and establish best practices across the company. Principal Data Architect works with owners, customers, partners, and senior leaders in the Company to define and realize the Company's strategy in the information space and collaborates with the broader Enterprise Architecture team to ensure that the strategies defined within each architectural domain align to contribute to the Company's vision. What You'll do:
Design, implement and lead Data Architecture, Data Quality, Data Governance across Reformation Define data modeling standards and foundational best practices Develop and evangelize data quality standards and practices Establish data governance processes, procedures, policies, and guidelines to maintain the integrity and security of the data. Drive the successful adoption of organizational data utilization and self-serviced data platform. Create and maintain critical data standards and metadata that allows data to be understood and leveraged as a shared asset Develop standards and write template code for sourcing, collecting, and transforming data for streaming or batch processing data. Design data schemes, object models, and flow diagrams to structure, store, process, and integrate data Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for data management. Apply hands-on subject matter expertise in the Architecture and administration of Big Data platforms, Data Lake Technologies (GCP/GCS/AWS/S3), and experience with ML and Data Science platforms. Provides leadership and subject matter expertise in the information architecture domain, defining a long-term architectural vision and strategy in the areas of data classification, data governance, analytics, and machine learning. Design data models and define both logical and physical models. Create and maintain a robust data dictionary and facilitate user adoption. What you'll need:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent. 10-15
years of progressive hands-on experience, with 7
years in the data architecture domain. Demonstrated proficiency in multiple architecture domains is a plus. 5
years of hands-on experience in productionizing and deploying Big Data platforms and applications, Hands-on experience working with:
Relational/SQL, distributed columnar data stores/NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, time-series databases, Spark streaming, Kafka, Hive, Parquet, Avro, and more Experience leading significant data architecture transformation at a technical level within an organization. This may include work in Master Data Management (MDM), ETL development with data integration to support data marts, extracts and reporting, Data Governance, lineage, discovery, etc. Demonstrated experience in data modeling, information architecture, analytics, schema evolution, data organization layouts. Experience at full Information lifecycle with data warehousing and data integration projects from design to development to support, including machine learning use cases. Experience working with transactional, temporal, time series, and structured and unstructured data. Experience with cloud infrastructure, storage optimization, query optimizations and serving Metadata services. Strong Familiarity with Data Governance frameworks. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to champion ideas. Benefits & Perks:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
